Recently I got my hands on an interesting item. In fact there were two. The phone I got was an old case Candle Glow from 1957. But it came with a box from  June 1970 beloning to a rotary Sahara model. Unfortunately that phone was not there anymore. And no, I am not going to collect boxes 🙂 .

But the Candle Glow is very interesting. It is not only the oldest phone I have today, but it has also the bakelite fingerwheel, without any branding on it (neither Ericofon nor LM Ericsson).

Update 17/10/2015:

In the meantime I received 2 more boxes. The one above is the North Electric type (522726 Sahara 52L 6 70). The other two are a Dutch PTT box (top, DBJ 018 14/42/124 PTT NR 21-0031 A5 7916) and a Swedish box (left, no data).

Are there any more? I am still not collecting boxes… 😉
